Traditional Chinese Practical Electroacupuncture: Circuit Design, Parts List & Workshop Prototype Guide
In short: Traditional Chinese Practical Electroacupuncture. This entry documents a circuit & prototype taken from Chinese practical-technology literature, written for small-scale makers and home producers. The text below is the full English translation of the original Chinese workshop notes, covering materials and quantities, the step-by-step sequence, and the practical cautions recorded in the source. Roughly 4200 words of English technical text, translated and preserved without editing. It is intended for experimental and reference use, not for regulated or commercial certification.
Electroacupuncture instrumentThis electroacupuncture instrument has two sets of independent outputs (four acupoints) that do not affect each other, and four waveforms (continuous wave, discontinuous wave, and two density waves). The frequencies of various waveforms are divided into high and low levels (×1, ×10). The highest frequency reaches 1000Hz, and the pulse width is 500μs (×1 gear) and 80μs (×10 gear). Under 250Ω load, the pulse amplitude is greater than 10V.The block diagram of the electroacupuncture instrument is shown in Figure 42-1, which consists of a square wave generator, waveform selection and adjustment, intermittent oscillator and output stage.Figure 42-1The circuit principle of the electroacupuncture instrument is shown in Figure 42-2, and its working principle is as follows.Figure 42-2The oscillation stage uses an emitter-base transformer coupling oscillation circuit. The emitter of the oscillator tube VT4 outputs pulses to drive two independent output stages (VT5, VT6), thus isolating the load and the oscillator. Diode VD4 is used to suppress kickback and eliminate high-frequency oscillation. The current of the constant current generator VT3 is controlled by the potentiometer RP1, and the current flowing in VT3 is the discharge current of the timing capacitor of the intermittent oscillator, so it determines the length of the rest period. The current is large, the discharge is fast, the rest period is short, and the frequency is high, showing a linear relationship. This constitutes a voltage-controlled frequency intermittent oscillator, so the potentiometer knob can be directly used for linear frequency scaling. The frequency is divided into two levels: ×1 and ×10, controlled by toggle switch S2. Silicon diode VD5 …
